Buildspace

Software Engineering Contestant from June 2024 - August 2024

  • Buildspace, is a place where people work on ideas and compete. During buildspace season 5 I will be building a mac application that makes it easier to study/work/focus through the usage of sound waves, this app will be targeted for individuals and all who need to work on high focus tasks for 2hr+ work sessions at a time. This is something that I myself find useful and am excited to bring to market for others.

Software Engineer Intern from May 2023 - August 2023

  • Led the redesign of Technuf's flagship product 'Aphelia.io,' significantly improving SEO rankings to align with evolving market demands.
  • Led the dev-to-production transition, ensuring consistent application environments and lightweight containerized images optimized for low-memory usage.
  • Documented software requirement specification guides and designed wireframes for future expansions of Technuf’s web and mobile software product lines.

National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

Software and Design Research Fellowship (SURF) from May 2023 - August 2023

  • Designed HFES and ISA101 standard Human Machine and Graphical User interfaces, supporting the rapid expansion of neutron research at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, enhancing operator efficiency by 80%.
  • Conducted design research on future nuclear reactor expansions, with findings published and accepted for presentation at the annual TRTR (https://www.trtr.org/) conference under Dr. James Whipple and Robert Newby (Fed).
  • Monitored and studied various system environments and automation hardware for development and research purposes, including Wonderware, Yokogawa, and Allen Bradley PLCs.

  • Developed Netsuite modules delivering a 40% increase in web responsiveness from previous iterations.

  • Revamped the DGI CRM with a team of 8 utilizing React.js for the frontend.
  • Developed backend solution working with The University of Maryland finacial data utlzing Node.js and Express.js, hooked up to a MongoDB cluster.
  • Engineered custom functions in Excel’s VBA, streamlining the management of $5M in DGI financial sheets.
